OK - What the heck
T.V. - When I'm not in front of the computer and it's up to me, I watch one of the History Channels (their series on "The Universe" is amazing). My wife records all kinds of stuff and on her nights off I'll watch CSI, NCIS, & The Unit with her.
MOVIES - I like Action/Adventure, Comedy (Monty Python RULES!!!), Sci-Fi, and some Drama (depending). We recently saw Avatar in 3D - it was spectacular, although I thought that the "Cowboys & Indians" theme was a bit cheesy. Don't waste your time seeing it in 2D, it won't be the same.
While T.V. and movies are very entertaining, I prefer a good book to either. Right now I'm reading "The Pillars Of The Earth" by Ken Follett - it gets harder to put it down every time I pick it up.
My favorite authors are Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, Richard Marcinko (Rogue Warrior series), Tom Clancy, James Michener, Michael Crichton, and John McPhee - not necessarily in that order.
Two books by other authors that I would highly recommend are "Gone to Texas" by B. Forrest Carter, and "Marine Sniper" by Charles Henderson.

Like I say way off..............God made the Heavens & the Earth & Everything in between.................Amen!
So Now I can get down off mah! preaching stool, lol

Re: OK - What the heck
Stephen King and Dean Koontz both have a very similar writing style and I love both.
If you had to pick a favorite SK book BB?
Mine would have to be.. Insomnia, Misery or The Stand.
They're all good. lol
Sweets x

Favorite SK would have to be The Stand.
I was unable to read Misery - pissed me off too much, couldn't concentrate on the story. Don't get me wrong it's a great book, excellent example of his writing skills - I wasn't just reading the book, I was the dude tied to the bed. That's why it got to me.
I've never read Insomnia (never heard of it) I'll have to check it out.
Koontz . . . not so much. Yeah they're both very similar, but I found Koontz to be a little repetitious - same (basic) story, different people, different situation, but then I tried to read his collection back-to-back.
I'm sot so sure that the History Channel is trying to rewrite history though. That subatomic singularity existed for an eternity before God decided to destabilize it and create the universe 13 billion years ago - they just can't say that, it would be too un-scientific.
For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't none will suffice.
Enough playful banter! COME KILL ME!

Well jeez Chief, you can have both; George Ricks has ya covered in his book "Pistol Packin' Parson". It's about a preacher in the old west who's also a gunfighter.
Dunno if it's still in print, it was published in 1979. Great book though.
